Whitechapel Ceiling Drum

The Whitechapel Ceiling Drum is a flush fixture built around a frosted opal glass cylindrical drum with a frosted glass diffuser across the bottom, held in a metal frame. The photo shows it in a dark bronze finish; it's also offered in Standard Paint, Polished Aluminum, Satin Aluminum, Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina. The glass drum and bottom diffuser do most of the work here: the light comes out soft and even rather than harsh.

We fabricate the frame rather than die-casting it, which gives the fixture structural integrity that cast alternatives can't match. The frame is assembled to specification, the frosted glass drum and bottom diffuser are fitted, and the frame is finished by hand to the selected option — painted, polished, satined, or patinated — then sealed with clear lacquer where the finish calls for it. The completed fixture is electrically assembled and tested.

Manufacturing Process

Each Whitechapel Ceiling Drum is fabricated, shaped to specification, finished by hand to the selected option, sealed with clear lacquer where required, fitted with the frosted glass drum and diffuser, then electrically assembled and tested.
