United States Supreme Court

United States Supreme Court

Crenshaw Lighting restored and replicated historic pendants for the Supreme Court of the United States Modernization Project. We also designed and fabricated a family of new period-style bowl fixtures.

The original historic pendants were carefully restored. Where replication was needed, new fixtures were built to match the originals using the same materials and construction methods.

The new family of bowl fixtures was designed to match the existing neoclassical aesthetic while incorporating energy-efficient lamping. All fixtures were tested in our UL co-witness laboratory for the specific application.

The project required historical research, material matching, and precision fabrication to maintain the architectural integrity of the building while meeting modern electrical and safety standards.
