Tilton Lantern Pendant

The Tilton Lantern Pendant is a cylindrical lantern built from brass with frosted glass grid panels set between domed top and bottom caps. The photo shows it in Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina; it's also offered in Standard Paint, Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, and Antique Bronze Patina. The grid panels diffuse the light and break the cylinder up so it reads as a lantern rather than a tube.

We fabricate the brass frame by hand rather than die-casting it, which gives the fixture structural integrity that cast alternatives can't match. Each frame is formed to specification, the glass panels are fitted into the grid, and the brass is finished to the selected option — hand-polished or satined for the bright finishes, patinated and sealed with clear lacquer for the darker ones. The completed fixture is then electrically assembled and tested.

Manufacturing Process

Each Tilton Lantern Pendant is fabricated from brass, shaped to specification, finished by hand — polished, satined, or patinated depending on the selected finish — sealed with clear lacquer, fitted with frosted glass panels, then electrically assembled and tested.
