Tilton Bowl Pendant

The Tilton Bowl Pendant is a spun brass pendant with curved, slender splayed arms rising from a gather to a machined plate and spun top, and a frosted opal glass bowl hung between the arms. The photo shows it in polished brass; it's also offered in Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina, and Standard Paint. The bowl is spin-formed in our Floyd, Virginia workshop — the same technique we use on restoration work — and the arms are drawn from solid bar stock. Most fixtures at this price use hollow tube or pipe; solid bar stock gives structural integrity that hollow alternatives can't match.

The brass is finished to the selected option — hand-polished or satined for the bright finishes, patinated and sealed with clear lacquer for the darker ones — and the frosted glass bowl is fitted before the fixture is electrically assembled and tested.

Manufacturing Process

Each Tilton Bowl Pendant is spin-formed in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The bowl is spun to specification, fitted with curved bar-stock arms, machined plate, and spun top, finished by hand, glazed with the frosted glass bowl, then electrically assembled and tested.
