Templar Chandelier

The Templar is a four-arm chandelier in solid brass, hand-peened so the hammered texture is applied during fabrication, not pre-bought as textured stock. The structural trim bars are first machined to initial shape, then hand-forged into their final form. The decorative spikes are machined from solid brass bar stock. Four arms extend from the heavy central ring, each terminating in a forged head that holds a candelabra socket with a frosted glass shade. The chandelier hangs on a brass chain of alternating ball and rectangular links.

The fixture is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina, with a Hammered Patina adder available. The photo shows one of these finishes; the chandelier is fabricated to the same specification in each.

Manufacturing Process

Each Templar Chandelier begins as solid brass that is hand-peened to create the hammered texture — this is not pre-textured stock. The peening is done with a hand tool, pass by pass, so the texture follows the curve of each component. The structural trim bars are machined to their initial dimensions, then hand-forged into their final curved shape. The decorative spikes are machined from solid brass bar stock. Four arms extend from the central ring, each terminating in a forged head that holds the candelabra position and the frosted glass shade, held by a hand-peened brass band. All components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before shipping.
