Spindle Table Lamp

The Spindle Table Lamp is a 39½-inch stanchion lamp: a twisted, undulating brass stem that turns as it rises, topped by a matte black tapered conical shade. The photo shows it in polished brass with the black shade; the stem is also offered in Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina, and the shade is available in Tan as well as Black. The twist in the stem is shaped by hand — it's not a straight rod with a bend, and it reads differently as the light moves around it.

We fabricate the brass stem rather than die-casting it, which gives the fixture structural integrity that cast alternatives can't match. Each stem is shaped to specification, finished by hand — polished or satined for the bright finishes, patinated for the darker ones — and sealed with clear lacquer where the finish calls for it. The shade is fitted, and the lamp is electrically assembled and tested before it ships.

Manufacturing Process

Each Spindle Table Lamp is fabricated from brass, shaped to specification, finished by hand to the selected option, sealed with clear lacquer where required, fitted with the conical shade, then electrically assembled and tested.
