Solvay Ceiling Bowl

The Solvay Ceiling Bowl is a water-jet cut brass ring holding a frosted opal glass bowl diffuser, offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina. The ring is cut and assembled in our Floyd, Virginia workshop with the same techniques Crenshaw uses on its restoration work, and the frosted opal glass bowl is fitted into the ring to diffuse the light from the medium-base sources inside.

Crenshaw Lighting has fabricated fixtures in Floyd, Virginia since 1957; each Solvay is assembled and tested in-house.

Manufacturing Process

Each Solvay Ceiling Bowl is water-jet cut in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The brass ring is cut to specification, assembled, then finished, the frosted opal glass bowl is fitted, and the fixture is electrically assembled and tested before it ships.
