Satin Sconce

The Satin Sconce is a two-light fixture: two tall white opal glass cylindrical shades stand on a horizontal brass bar mounted to a round backplate. The frame is fabricated from brass and is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina finishes. Fabricated brass construction gives the fixture structural integrity that die-cast alternatives can't match, and the opal glass shades diffuse the candelabra lamps into a soft, even light.

Each Satin Sconce is built in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The bar and backplate are fabricated from individual brass members that are precision-cut, formed, and welded to specification, then the glass shades are fitted and hand-seated. All brass components are hand-finished, polished, satined, or patinated for the selected finish, and sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before shipping.

Manufacturing Process

Each Satin Sconce is fabricated in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass sheet and bar stock is cut to pattern using precision shearing operations, then formed and joined with careful welding so the two shades sit level on the bar. Each component is hand-finished for the selected finish, then sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled, tested, and packed for shipping.
