Rock Creek Sconce

The Rock Creek Sconce is an Art Deco form fabricated from brass with strong geometric lines. The backplate is rectangular with a recessed center, and a vertical column extends downward from the mount. Three frosted white glass globes are positioned along the structure — one at the end of a horizontal arm and two near the vertical support. Decorative finials hang from the underside of the arm and support. Most sconces at this price use die-cast bodies that limit detail and durability. The Rock Creek is assembled from individual components, each fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, individually hand-polished or satined, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer, then electrically assembled and tested. Built to outlast fixtures made from lesser materials.

Manufacturing Process

Each Rock Creek Sconce is fabricated in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass sheet and plate stock is cut to pattern using precision shearing operations. The rectangular backplate is formed using traditional metal bending techniques, with the recessed center created through controlled forming operations. The vertical column and horizontal arm are fabricated from brass bar stock with precise welding at all joints. The decorative finials are turned on CNC lathes from individual brass blanks. All components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The three glass globes are fitted, the fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards, and tested before shipping.
