Riparian Wall Sconce

The Riparian Wall Sconce is cut and machined from 3/8-inch thick solid brass plate — not die-cast or thin sheet stock. The front consists of two separate brass plates, each precision-cut to create a serpentine wave that flows vertically down the center. That wave is cut completely through the plate and machined to create a genuine three-dimensional channel that catches light and shadow. An indirect LED source is incorporated into a precision-machined brass block within the fixture. The form is fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, hand-finished, then electrically assembled and tested.

Manufacturing Process

Each Riparian Wall Sconce begins as 3/8-inch thick solid brass plate. The two front face panels are precision-cut using CNC operations to produce the serpentine wave form — the wave is cut completely through each plate, then machined to create the three-dimensional channel. The LED light source is integrated into a separate precision-machined brass block. All brass components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before shipping.
