Pinnacle Torchiere Sconce

The Pinnacle Torchiere Sconce is a one-light uplight built on a slender forged brass rod. The rod rises from a pair of round wall plates and is topped by a white opal glass cylindrical shade, which throws the light up the wall. There are no arms and no centerpiece — just the rod, the two plates, and the shade, which is why the fixture reads as a single vertical line from the wall well above head height. The rod is forged to specification and the round plates are formed in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, with each brass part hand-polished or satined, patinated where the finish calls for it, and sealed with clear lacquer before electrical assembly and testing. It is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina.

Manufacturing Process

Each Pinnacle Torchiere Sconce is built in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The brass rod is forged from individual brass blanks using traditional metal forging techniques, then finished to a uniform profile. The round wall plates are formed from brass sheet stock and drilled to pattern. All forged and formed components are hand-finished with patina application where specified, then sealed with clear lacquer. The glass shade is fitted to the top of the rod, and the fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before shipping.
