Pillar Floor Lamp

The Pillar Floor Lamp is a stanchion floor lamp in fabricated brass, topped by a matte black tapered fabric shade — the shade is the dominant visible element, not an afterthought. The column rises as a fabricated brass form, and the fixture is offered in polished brass, satin brass, aged brass patina, antique bronze patina, or oil-rubbed bronze patina, with the fabric shade in black or tan. The photo shows the fixture with the black shade.

Every fixture is built in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass is formed to specification, the column is hand-polished or satined, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer; the shade is fitted and the fixture is electrically assembled and tested before it ships.

Manufacturing Process

Each Pillar Floor Lamp begins as brass sheet and plate stock, fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The column is assembled and welded, then hand-polished or satined by hand, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer. The fabric shade is fitted over the column, and the fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before shipping. Fabricated construction gives the column the structural integrity die-cast alternatives can't match. The tapered shade is fitted over the top of the column and keeps the light soft from every side.
