Ore Torchiere Sconce

The Ore Torchiere Sconce is a wall-mounted uplight built around a matte white conical torchiere shade. The shade is the dominant element of the fixture: a long, tapered cone finished in a flat matte white that throws light up the wall. The cone is carried by a fabricated brass frame and collar that mounts to the wall and reaches out to hold the shade at full extension. The brass structure is fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, hand-polished or satined, patinated where the finish calls for it, and sealed with clear lacquer before electrical assembly and testing. The brass frame is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina.

Manufacturing Process

Each Ore Torchiere Sconce is fabricated in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass sheet and plate stock is cut to pattern using precision shearing operations. The frame and collar are formed using traditional metal bending techniques, shaped to specification, and joined with careful welding. The conical shade is formed to specification and mounted to the arm through the brass collar. All brass components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before shipping.
