Mason Sconce

The Mason Sconce is a tall hexagonal lantern form fabricated from brass with a tapering profile. The frame is built from individual brass members with vertical mullions that hold white opal glass panels. A decorative finial caps the top, and the form narrows toward the base. Most sconces at this price use die-cast bodies that limit detail and durability. The Mason is assembled from individual components, each fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, individually hand-polished or satined, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer, then electrically assembled and tested. Built to outlast fixtures made from lesser materials.

Manufacturing Process

Each Mason Sconce is fabricated in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass sheet and plate stock is cut to pattern using precision shearing operations. The curved arms are formed using traditional metal bending techniques, shaped to specification then joined to the backplate with careful welding. All brass components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards, then tested before shipping.
