Manchester Sconce

The Manchester Sconce is a hexagonal lantern form fabricated from brass with a pitched roof and decorative finial. The frame is built from individual brass members with vertical mullions that hold white opal glass panels. Decorative scrollwork beneath the lantern body adds classical ornamentation. A flat vertical backplate mounts the fixture to the wall. Most sconces at this price use die-cast bodies that limit detail and durability. The Manchester is assembled from individual components, each fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, individually hand-polished or satined, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer, then electrically assembled and tested. Built to outlast fixtures made from lesser materials.

Manufacturing Process

Each Manchester Sconce is fabricated in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass sheet and plate stock is cut to pattern using precision shearing operations. The hexagonal lantern frame is built from individual brass members that are bent and formed using traditional metalworking techniques, then joined with careful welding. The pitched roof and decorative finial require precise alignment of all structural members before final assembly. All brass components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards, then tested before shipping.
