John's Island Sconce

The John's Island Sconce is a traditional colonial lantern. Muntined white opal glass panels are set in a fabricated brass body, topped with a hipped roof and hung by a scrolled ring. It is a formal, traditional form — the fixture you would see on a porch, a stair landing, or a hallway in a colonial-style house. Fabricated brass construction gives the frame structural integrity that die-cast alternatives can't match. The fixture is offered in five brass finishes, from bright polished to dark oil-rubbed patinas.

Manufacturing Process

Each John's Island Sconce is fabricated in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The brass body members are cut to specification, formed, and welded, and the hipped roof is fitted and sealed. The opal glass panels are set into muntined frames, and the scrolled hanging ring is attached. All brass components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled and tested before shipping.
