Ferric Sconce

The Ferric Sconce is a one-light wall fixture with a conical shade in a glossy black finish. The shade body carries the black paint; the collar, rim, arm, and backplate are brass and take the fixture's finish. A frosted white opal glass diffuser at the base of the cone keeps the light soft where it meets the wall. The conical form is straight-lined and bold, and the black-over-brass contrast is what the fixture is about. It is built in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, with each brass part hand-polished or satined, patinated where the finish calls for it, and sealed with clear lacquer before electrical assembly and testing. The brass trim is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina.

Manufacturing Process

Each Ferric Sconce is built in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The conical shade is shaped to specification and finished in black. The brass collar, rim, arm, and backplate are hand-forged and formed from brass stock, with each part hand-polished or satined, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer. The frosted opal diffuser is fitted at the base of the cone. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before shipping.
