Colonial Lantern Pendant

The Colonial is a traditional lantern pendant fabricated from brass. The form is a classic ornate lantern profile — panel sides and a candelabra light position at the center — built up from brass sheet and bar stock in our Floyd, Virginia workshop rather than cast as one piece. It is offered in three sizes.

The fixture is offered in six finishes: Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina (ORB), and Standard Paint. The product photo shows one of the six; the fixture is fabricated to the same specification and finished to order in any of them.

Manufacturing Process

Each Colonial is cut, formed, and welded to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Because the frame is fabricated rather than cast, every panel and joint is a piece we cut and fit ourselves, and the seams are ground smooth before finishing. The body is then finished by hand: polished or satined where the finish calls for bare brass, patinated where it calls for a toned finish, painted where Standard Paint is ordered, and sealed with clear lacquer. The candelabra position is wired to the house circuit, and the finished lantern is tested for continuity and correct operation before shipment.
