Tax excluded. Shipping calculated at checkout
The Clermont Wall Sconce is a hexagonal lantern-form sconce formed from jet-cut aluminum with cast appliqué. It is offered in two finishes, standard paint and Black Iron Patina; the photo shows the black finish. Where most sconces at this price are die-cast or spun from thin sheet, the Clermont is formed from solid aluminum, and the jet-cut detail and cast appliqué are shaped to specification, so the form is part of the structure instead of applied to it. The lantern form puts the light sources inside the hexagonal body, so the fixture reads as architecture on the wall rather than a bulb on a backplate, and the white acrylic lens keeps the light soft from both sizes.
We have been making lighting in Floyd, Virginia since 1957. The Clermont is built in our Floyd, Virginia workshop the same way as the rest of the line: aluminum cut and formed in-house, finished one fixture at a time, and assembled by hand. Standard paint is an even, consistent color, while Black Iron Patina is a hand-applied patina, so no two patina fixtures come off the bench with exactly the same surface. It takes standard medium-base lamps for dimming and replacement, or it can be specified with the integral 3000K LED, and the damp rating puts it on covered porches and other damp walls as well as interior ones.

Manufacturing Process
Each Clermont Wall Sconce is formed from jet-cut aluminum with cast appliqué in our Floyd, Virginia shop. The jet-cut detail and cast appliqué are shaped to specification, the fixture is individually hand-polished or satined, patinated where the finish calls for it, and sealed with clear lacquer. The patina is built up by hand and then locked with the lacquer seal, which is what keeps the finish stable in damp locations. Then the fixture is electrically assembled and tested. The hexagonal lantern form is fabricated piece by piece, which is what keeps the corners crisp instead of the rounded edges die-casting leaves.
