The Clermont Ceiling Bowl is a flush-mount fixture formed from water-jet cut aluminum sheet, with a cast appliqué at the bottom of the bowl. It is offered in a standard paint finish; the photo shows it in black. Most flush bowls at this price are stamped from thin sheet or built around hollow tube, but the Clermont is cut from solid sheet, formed to shape, and reinforced at the bottom of the bowl with a cast appliqué, so it holds its shape instead of warping or flexing over time. The wide bowl opening and white acrylic lens spread the light across a room instead of pooling it in one spot.
The Clermont is named for a church in England, chosen by founders Woody and Jackie Crenshaw. We have been fabricating lighting in Floyd, Virginia since 1957, and this fixture uses the same techniques we use on our restoration work: sheet metal cut to pattern, formed by hand, and assembled one fixture at a time in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The standard paint finish is applied over the aluminum in-house, so the finish is uniform across the formed bowl and the cast appliqué. It takes standard medium-base lamps for dimming and easy replacement, or it can be specified with the integral 3000K LED.

Manufacturing Process
Each Clermont Ceiling Bowl starts as flat aluminum sheet, water-jet cut to specification in our Floyd, Virginia shop. Water-jet cutting leaves clean, exact edges, so the formed bowl follows the original pattern without the distortion stamped sheet picks up. The sheet is formed into the bowl, the cast appliqué is fitted at the bottom, the fixture is painted, and then it is electrically assembled. Every fixture passes through the same workshop bench, so the people who cut and formed the sheet also see it when it is finished. The two sizes cover most ceiling applications: small for corridors and smaller rooms, large for open areas, both rated for dry and damp locations.
