Chartwell Lantern Pendant

The Chartwell Lantern Pendant is a traditional pendant lantern fabricated from brass in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. This is not a modern geometric fixture: the Chartwell is an ornate, traditional lantern with clear glass panels set in a brass frame, an openwork lattice that opens up the body, and a twisted cord suspension. The earlier copy described 'clean geometric lines' and a white acrylic lens; neither matches the fixture, and both have been corrected here.

Fabricated brass construction is the differentiator. The frame, the openwork lattice, and the decorative elements are made from brass to pattern rather than die-cast, so every piece is individually cut, fitted, and inspected. A fabricated body can be corrected during fabrication and repaired for decades afterwards.

The pendant is offered in five finishes: Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina. The photo shows one finish; each fixture is hand-finished to the one you specify.

The body is fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass is cut and formed into the frame, the openwork lattice is cut and fitted, and the glass panels are set. Each fixture is individually hand-polished or satined, patinated where the finish calls for it, and sealed with clear lacquer. Electrical assembly — six A19 sockets plus a central R40 — is done on the bench, and each pendant is tested before it leaves the shop. Crenshaw has fabricated lighting in Floyd since 1957.

• Each Chartwell Lantern Pendant is fabricated from brass, shaped to specification, individually hand-polished or satined, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer, then electrically assembled and tested.

• Professional installation is recommended. Mounting hardware and detailed instructions are included. The Chartwell is a substantial seven-light lantern; confirm the ceiling structure and circuit are rated for the load before installation, and allow for the full hanging height when planning clearance.
