Central Ave. Sconce

The Central Ave. Sconce is a hexagonal lantern form fabricated from brass. The six-sided column is built from individual brass members with precise mitered joints at each corner. White opal glass panels are set into the frame with pointed Gothic arches at the top, creating a vertical rhythm that draws the eye upward. A decorative band of pierced metalwork near the base adds texture to the lower section. The backplate features a curved scalloped top edge that contrasts with the rigid geometry of the lantern body. Most sconces at this price use die-cast bodies that limit detail and durability. The Central Ave is assembled from individual components, each fabricated to specification in our Floyd, Virginia workshop, individually hand-polished or satined, patinated where specified, and sealed with clear lacquer, then electrically assembled and tested. Built to outlast fixtures made from lesser materials.

Manufacturing Process

Each Central Ave. Sconce is fabricated in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Brass sheet and plate stock is cut to pattern using precision shearing operations. Components are bent and formed using traditional metalworking techniques, then joined with careful welding. All brass components receive hand-finishing with patina application where specified, then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards, then tested before shipping.
