Bud Pendant

The Bud Pendant is a floral form: curved brass petals wrap around a central opal glass globe that diffuses the light. The brass work is fabricated, not cast. Each petal is cut, bent, and shaped by hand, then the assembled form is finished and wired in our Floyd, Virginia workshop.

The petals open around the globe the way a bud does, and the opal glass softens the whole fixture into a diffuse, even glow rather than a hard point of light. The G4 base sits at the center of the bloom.

The photo shows one finish. The Bud is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze; hand-finishing is done on every piece. An Alabaster Stone lens is available in place of the opal glass.

Manufacturing Process

Each Bud Pendant is built in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. Individual brass members are precision-cut, formed, and bent to shape the petals, then welded to specification. The curved petal profile requires careful bending and shaping of brass sheet stock. All brass components are hand-finished, with patina applied where the finish calls for it, then sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before it ships.
