Axis Pendant
Tax excluded. Shipping calculated at checkout
The Axis Pendant is turned from a 2-inch solid brass bar stock blank, not drawn tube or pipe. The blank is cut to length, held in a lathe chuck, and turned down to a bicone profile — two cones meeting at a center point, wide at the top and bottom. Each piece is hand-finished, then wired and assembled in our Floyd, Virginia workshop.
A fixture turned from solid stock is dense at the center and holds its profile. That matters on a 14-inch profile hung in front of a dining table or over a kitchen island, where the dual-cone geometry is the whole design. The single light sits at the bottom cone, aimed at the surface below.
The photo shows one finish. The Axis is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina; hand-finishing is done on every piece.

Manufacturing Process
Each Axis Pendant is turned on CNC lathes from a 2-inch solid brass bar stock blank in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The bicone profile is machined to precise tolerances, with the full form turned individually from solid stock rather than assembled from hollow tube or pipe. The canopy is fabricated from brass plate stock with precise bending operations. All components receive hand-finishing — polished or satined, with patina applied where the finish calls for it — then are sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is electrically assembled to UL standards and tested before it ships.
