Avenida Grande Pendant

The Avenida Grande Pendant is a large traditional fixture: an 81-inch disc of pierced brass openwork, the gallery cut in a petal and leaf pattern, worked around a large central opal glass diffuser. The brass work is fabricated, not cast. Each section of the openwork is cut, shaped, and assembled by hand, then the fixture is finished and wired in our Floyd, Virginia workshop.

At this scale, the pierced gallery does most of the visual work. Light passes through the openwork and across the opal glass, which diffuses the integrated LED into an even, warm wash rather than a row of points. It reads as a chandelier without chandelier hardware.

The photo shows one finish. The Avenida Grande is offered in Polished Brass, Satin Brass, Aged Brass Patina, Antique Bronze Patina, and Oil-Rubbed Bronze Patina; hand-finishing is done on every section of the openwork.

Manufacturing Process

Each Avenida Grande Pendant is fabricated from brass in our Floyd, Virginia workshop. The petal and leaf openwork is cut and formed from brass sheet, section by section, then assembled to specification. Every section is hand-polished or satined, patinated where the finish calls for it, and sealed with clear lacquer. The fixture is then electrically assembled and tested before it ships.
