Tour Our Shop
Our 50,000 square foot facility in Floyd, Virginia houses the equipment and skilled labor for complete fixture fabrication -- from raw material to finished, tested product.
Machine Shop
CNC mills, manual mills, and lathes for precision metalworking. Components are machined from solid brass, bronze, steel, and aluminum bar stock -- not hollow tube or cast from thin patterns.
Glass Studio
Hot and cold glass fabrication for custom glass elements. We work with alabaster, opal glass, stained glass, and hand-blown pieces for historical replication and original design.
Welding
MIG, TIG, and laser welding for brass, bronze, steel, and aluminum. Welded joints are ground smooth and finished to match the surrounding surface.
Finishing
Powder coating for durable color finishes. Hand-applied patina work for brass and bronze. Liquid finishes for specific color matches. All components are sealed with clear lacquer to hold the finish.
Wood Shop
Custom wood components for fixtures that require timber elements. Appalachian hardwood is used where specified.
UL Co-Witness Laboratory
ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited testing facility. We test fixtures for your specific application rather than relying on general coverage. We currently hold over 100 LED listings.
What This Means for Your Project
When your project requires:
- Custom dimensions that don't fit standard fixtures
- Historical replication from photographs or drawings
- Finishes that match existing fixtures in a building
- UL certification for a specific application
The difference is having the capability to work from raw material. A company that only assembles fixtures is limited to what their suppliers provide. When you need something outside the catalog, the same facilities and same team handle it.
The video below shows the full facility. The same team that designs a fixture builds and tests it.
