UNITED STATES CAPITOL

WASHINGTON, D C
In 2012, Crenshaw undertook the careful process of replicating a historic chandelier for the U.S. Capitol. The City Beautiful-era bowl chandelier hung in the Strom Thurmond Room S-238 in the early part of the 20th century. Over time, it had been replaced and lost. Several low-resolution historic photographs were the only available images of the original fixture and served as the basis of the replication.
